Pilgrims to get open space in Amritsar

Seeing the huge rush and vehicular traffic on the road leading to Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh,the state government has decided to develop the space near Dharam Singh Market parking lot into an open air resting place. The place will be used by visitors and tourists jostling for space in the vicinity of Golden Temple. Seating arrangements will be made for them and the area will be lighted at night,said DC KS Pannu.

“The place will have shady structures,vitro-forming interlocking tiles flooring,bell mouthed type road gully chambers,renovation of public conveniences and water gadgets,concrete benches etc,” he added.
