Union Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology Sachin Pilot inaugurated the Youth Congress membership drive in the state capital on Thursday. In the new Youth Congress structure , there will be no place for “sycophancy”, he told youngsters.

“We have devised a system that is fool-proof, with photographs, barcodes and a proper verification system,” said Pilot. He underlined the importance of the membership drive, saying it will give the Uttar Pradesh youth a chance to show hard work.

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs Arun Yadav inaugurated the drive from Aligarh, where the function witnessed a clash between two party factions — one consisting of the supporters of former MP Brijendra Singh and another comprising supporters of party MLC Vivek Bansal.
