Athlete Pinki Pramanik, who recently hit headlines after her companion complained of being raped by her, and Shiladitya Choudhury, who was termed as a Maoist by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee when he raised a question at one of her public speeches, on Friday appeared before the Human Rights Commission. The commission has started an independent inquiry into the twin cases. According to senior officials of HRC, Pinki and Shiladitya have submitted their written statements to the HRC on Friday.
