PM confident of Cong emerging as No 1 party

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday expressed confidence that Congress will once again emerge as the "number one party" in the country in coming Lok Sabha elections.
"I am confident that Congress will once again emerge as the number one party in the coming elections," Singh told a press conference here.
He was responding to a question about Congress' prospects in the elections.
To a question, the Prime Minister said he will guarantee that the elections will be conducted in a "clean" manner.
