Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has not asked Home Minister P Chidambaram to head the Indian Premier League probe,a PMO spokesman said on Friday. Reacting to media reports,the spokesman said,"There is no truth in the story as reported that the Prime Minister has asked the Home Minister to head the IPL probe." Reports had surfaced about Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Home Minister P Chidambaram investigating the alleged scam which surfaced during Lalit Modi-Shashi Tharoor clash over IPL Kochi franchise.
