  • The occasion was religious but with the top leadership from Delhi and Maharashtra present in Nanded to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the consecration of the Guru Granth Sahib, discussions naturally veered around to politics with all the violence in Mumbai. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Shivraj Patil used the occasion to ask Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh about the attacks on north Indians in Mumbai.
