  • After having expressed his “disappointment” over the fate of the Indo-US nuclear deal, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on Friday expressed concern over the slow progress of UPA Government’s priority infrastructure projects in power, roads, ports, telecom and railway sectors.

“The Prime Minister expressed concern about the slow progress of infrastructure projects and has directed that a meeting of the Committee on Infrastructure be called to review progress in power, roads, ports, telecom and railway sectors,” said a press communique issued by the PMO after Singh reviewed the implementation of programmes taken up under the National Common Minimum Programme at a meeting here.
