‘PM should raise his voice’

  • The Punjab Local Bodies Minister Manoranjan Kalia today said Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh should take the issue of Sikhs being targeted by Taliban in Pakistan, at an international level.

    Addressing a press conference he said the PM should break the silence in the atrocities on the minority community, to which he himself belongs. “The matter will be forgotten in the same way as the turban-ban in France where the PM did not take any stand and the ban still continues,” he said.He must prevent further loss caused to the Sikhs living in the North West Frontier Province.

    : SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar today wrote a letter to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, seeking his intervention to help the Sikh families in Swat valley. He said the Sikh diaspora are extremely annoyed over the diabolic acts of the Taliban.
