One Surjitsingh Jaswantsingh Saluja (60), a resident of Naranpura, had lent Rs 20, 000 to Gohil on May 29 at an interest rate of 1.5 per cent. He is a licensed moneylender and his licence is of date July 15, 2007. The second lender, Bharat Vanant (35), a resident of Ghatlodiya, had lent Rs 10, 000 to Gohil at an interest rate of 5 per cent five months back. Vanant held no licence to lend money.”
