She was forced into prostitution by her greedy father and mother who earned money by "selling" her to various pimps, but this teenager finally managed to escape from their clutches.
The minor girl was "sold" to more than three pimps allegedly by her parents whose greed for making money increased day by day and they even physically attacked their daughter when she resisted.
The girl, however, managed to escape from their clutches and sought refuge at a home for destitute girls. But her parents had a different plan to bring her home -- they filed a police complaint alleging that their daughter has been kidnapped.
Since the case related to a minor girl, police were very cautious in their probe and finally arrested five people, including Lala Singh, the victim's father and Chandrawati, her mother.
A vegetable vendor, Lala Singh had too much debts and to get rid of his problems he brought the girl to Delhi on the pretext of offering better education.
"After some days of bringing the girl to Delhi, the father and mother took the girl to prostitution pimp Ravinder. The girl realising the scenario cried and tried to run but was badly beaten by Lala Singh and made to submit to the will of father," a senior police official said.
In order to generate more money, the girl was further handed over more pimps and when she was taken to Moradabad, she escaped from their.
"They planned that after tracing the girl, police will simply handover the girl back to parents and they will again send the girl for prostitution," he said.
