The police have been able to trace the missing Pakistani nationals, who had come to the city for treatment. The group, comprising two patients and nine attendants from Multan, was in the Christian Medical College and Hospital yesterday to get treated for tumour and arthritis. The patients were asked to get tests done at another hospital and return with the pathology reports. But the visitors failed to turn up at the local Sibia Medical Centre after which, the hospital authorities reported the matter to the police. SSP R K Jaiswal said,We have established contact with one of the members of the group. The visitors are in Delhi. The SSP said,The group has visas for Delhi,Ajmer Sharif and Ludhiana. We were trying to ascertain whether they had completed all the formalities after reaching India and we did not find anything fishy. Jaiswal added,When in India, the foreign nationals have to fulfill two clauses. It is marked on their visas whether they need to register with the local police or not. In their papers,it was mentioned that they have to mark their presence with the police within 24 hours of reaching the city and they had done the same. Some of them have visas for a period between 30 and 50 days.
