Marathi film Milala Mouka Tar Marla Chouka, based on the Sahakar Kshetra and sugar lobby in the state, will be released in Western Maharashtra on September 25. The entire cast and crew of the film including director Nitin Bhaskar, producer Praveen Wankhede, actor Pradeep Kothmire, along with veteran actor Kuldeep Pawar visited the city on Wednesday. “The film is about the political battle that goes on to prove how a common man grabs the opportunity and climbs the ladder of political success,” says Nitin Bhaskar, director. Having depicted over 50 sarpanchs in his acting career of over 36 years, portraying a sarpanch in this film was a different experience for Pawar, who says,”This film depicts grassroot level politics that take place at a taluka. There is no sophistication in the character I have portrayed. It was thus about the typical language accent, the way they throw their weight around and so on.”
