    HRITHIK ROSHAN, actor
Hopefully, I will be in the city so I can cast my vote. There is a great need today for everyone to come out of their houses and vote. These days, we’re only concerned about the issues that affect our lives. We need to vote for the betterment of society as a whole.

I’ve been voting regularly for the past few years but I’m not sure if I will be able to vote this time since I’m very busy with India Couture Week. But I feel very bad about it. In fact, I’m going to ask the sponsors to give me some time off so I can go and cast my vote. As a lay person in the city, I’m concerned about issues like traffic, population explosion and unemployment.

Oh yes. Of course, I’m going to vote. I’ve been voting every year except for the one time I found my name missing from the electoral roll. I raised hell until they rectified the mistake and registered me. The one thing I feel voters should be able to do is to write on the ballot paper that they don’t want to vote for any of the candidates. Why should we vote for them if they’re not delivering on their promises. Eighty per cent of voters from Bandra, which is my constituency, are not voting because they don’t know who to vote for.

Yes, I will be voting. Except for the last elections when I was out of the country, I have been voting regularly. This time there’s some complication since I shifted my residence from Mahim to Worli. I’ve applied for a new card and am still waiting for it. After 26/11, I think our primary concern should be security in the city. I went for a friend’s funeral and the cemetery was so crammed that there was no space for bodies. I hope the government will deal with it before the entire city is wiped out.

    ... contd.
