The industries spreading pollution and those encroaching on government land will be sternly dealt with and none will be spared in Mohali district. Punjab Minister for Food and Civil Supplies,Consumer Affairs,Information and Technology Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon said here on Monday. Chairing the second meeting of Mohali District Grievances Removal Committee at the Municipal Bhawan in Sector 68 here,Kairon asked the district administration to identify all such offenders and initiate exemplary action against those putting public health and properties to risk. The minister also called for a time-bound solution to all public demands and problems put forth before the panel at a meeting on Monday. “The issues raised today should be settled before the next meeting to be held before April 15,” the panel chairman directed. Taking a serious view of the complaints pertaining to the poor condition of roads,streetlights,encroachments and traffic bottlenecks,Kairon asked Deputy Commissioner Parveen Kumar and SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar to take immediate steps to solve the problems without any further delay. He also directed to curb with strong hands the menace of playing loud music between 10 pm and 6 am at weddings and other social functions.
