Post offices ban sale of postcards with Madhu Koda pics

Senior Post Master of the Post office J Munda today directed all the 43 post offices to stop selling the postcards depicting Koda’s photograph on it.

“Of the five lakh post cards printed about five years back,we were selling the Koda picturised post-cards left in our stock”,he said.

JHRC and Anna Hazare brigade argued that there was no need to glorify Koda when he was an accused in the money laundering case that tarnished the image of the state.

Stating that the Postal department had nothing to do with specific postcards as it was printed when Koda was the Chief Minister and with the consent of the Post and Telegraph department authorities,Munda said “We have apprised the matter to the senior officials in regard with its decision to stop selling the postcards”.

“We will start selling the post-cards in case we are directed to do so from our senior officials”,he clarified.
