Prachanda claimed that India-US 'conspiracy' against his govt began soon after he chose to visit China.

In a sensational claim, former Prime Minister and Maoist chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the India-US axis wanted to launch anti-China activities, even a possible attack on China, using Nepali territory.

“I had to quit as Prime Minister as my party was opposed to letting our territory used against China”, Prachanda said while addressing a training programme of the Maoist cadres yesterday, according to the Rajdhani daily.

It quoted Prachanda as having said: “The US-India plan had to face challenge from our party and that triggered the conspiracy against my government.”

Prachanda resigned on May 4 in protest against President Rambaran Yadav reinstating Army Chief R Katawal, within hours of his being sacked by the Prime Minister unilaterally, on the charge of insubordination and violating the principle of civilian supremacy.

“A senior Indian professor revealed this design to me”, Prachanda said but did not name him. “He (professor) told me all this after I made it clear to him that Nepal will pursue a policy of equal proximity with both neighbours India and China”, Rajdhani quoted him as having said. Prachanda also claimed that the India-US “conspiracy” against his government began soon after he chose to visit China before visiting New Delhi on his assuming the office of the Prime Minister. He attributed this “information” to the unnamed Indian professor.

He said India was pressuring “us” to sign many agreements against Nepali interests and that was the reason why the south went “against us.” Prachanda claimed that the US was set to impose yet another costly war in the region using Nepali territory.

Most who commented here are diseased; Go to hellBy: Vikram Singh | 29-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward Most of the readers who gave their comments are diseased. They are not likely to contribute to health criticism and improvement. They are harmful lunatics. I don't think Nepal has harmed India. The 99% goods that Nepal imports are from India, not from China. The 99% trade nepal does is with India not with China. Nepal does not have any international transit at the Chinese border. But Nepal has borders with India in all the four directions. It means Nepal has not had balanced and equidistant foreign policy. Our country has imposed on Nepal regional hegemony and colonialism copied from the British. It is a shame to our democracy. We are a nuclear power but our thoughts are colonialist. We are the largest democracy in the world but we do not allow Nepal and other South Asian neighbors to make their own political decisions. All Indians must abandon this negative character.
In opposition of UML government By: purushottam Dahal | 28-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward I dont like the UML government. so we need the new government of Moaiest which works in favour of Nepali and for seck of country. So as soon as possible we want new furmulated party of prachanda path.
False ClaimBy: Deepak | 28-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward Absolutely false claim of a possible war against China, Currently neither US nor India can afford a war against China economically and else wise.We support to his say that India Toppled his govrnment but not it is also reconsidering its decision of establishing Maoist government as its very unsafe for India to let the single largest election winning party in Nepal to stay out of government. But it is still very early to change powers in Nepal as its barely not even 100 days of the govt formation.Definately things will be clear within few weeks. Prachanda should stop direct vocal attacks to India and US being head of the party UCPM. This will bloster party image further.
PrachandaBy: Vannan | 16-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward Mr Prachanda, are you a politician or a mad man? If you are old enough do you remember the Indo chinese war in 1962? Who was the agressor, was Nepal's territory used by either warring party? If you are nat suuferring from amneasia then you should be able to recall that the chinese wanted to use Nepal's territory. Please don't say things such things again. I am laughing at your statement. Which sounds like a real joke. If you are a real statesman please do something about Nepal and don't think about who is going to attack whom. I am sad to see the condition of your airport, roads, housing, and above all the wonderful people of Nepal who are 80 percent below average. You and your thuggish behavior using kids and gangsters to disrupt daily life and business of all enterprises is having an image that Nepal is deterioting. Thank you
Future Maoist = More Chinese Intrusion = Chinese claim for NepalBy: ChakDe | 12-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward @SharmaMy friend Is Nepal have enough capabilities to save itself from any rival country ? You said India is illegally capturing Nepal's land. I say if India has to capture your land then it wouldn't be talking to Nepal to sort out the issues. Yes there are issues and only talks can sort them out.Have you forget what China is doing with Myanmar, it first took the benefit by supporting the there Military Rule and now Myanmar is worried of there 30% illegal Chinese immigrant people and soon China will have a thrust to merge it into itself and soon the same is going to happen with Nepal but unfortunately our Prachand Ji won't be here to see this historic Chinese claim on Nepal as it's own state.
