In fact, during the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls in April-May this year, the ex-servicemen's outfits had pledged their support to BJP, which had included the OROP in its manifesto and promised to implement it if voted to power.
Ex HavildarBy: k kurup | 26-Nov-2009Reply | ForwardSir,
This is the most deplorable situation that the exsoldiers are facing. The price index have gone up beyond ones imagination. Those who retired in 80s and even before are facing very hardship for their food. When these jawans stood by the govt and people of India, why they are compelled to face such a starving death . whatr announced in the budget , Govt must translate into action. Many ex jawans may die even before the govt announce their decisions. This mail may be passed on to Smt Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister and Rahul Gandhi to take some announcements before end of this parliament session. BJP announced their support during the election, ofcourse they could not come up,still they are morally bound to support this noble cause.Jawans sacrificed their life for the nation, may theyhave a peaceful death. The serving jawans are also watching as to what the govt and people do for their predessors. Sir, These exservice men are still an asset to nation due to their disciplined life

Ex Servicemen pension retired in 2005By: Ex-JWO Yashpal Singh Tomar | 25-Nov-2009Reply | ForwardEx-Servicemen retired/discharge in 2005 are very looser in terms of retirement benefits. As Ex -JWO my pension has come down below Sgt of post 2006. What decision government is taking to remove this anomaly. The pension of a person retired at higher rank in 2005 has come below his lower rank/ Juniors. Please inform me what government is doing on this subject.
