
* A rough cost estimate for the construction of a community centre building in Sector 39 was approved on September 29 last year. The Detailed Notice Inviting Tenders (DNIT) is still being readied and may be submitted for approval by end of October.
* The rough cost estimate for widening a V-6 road in Sector 15 was approved on February 27 last year. The tender for civil works was received on October 5. A case for removal of trees is to be re-submitted with the UT Administration.
* Approval for making pedestrian pathways along V-6 roads around various parks in Sector 27, 28 and 30 was approved on December 31 last year. A tender for the same was called twice, but there were no takers. Tenders have been called again.
* Estimates for augmentation of water supply in Hallomajra were approved on October 30 last year. While a year has passed, work has not started on the site and preparation of DNIT is still under process.
The status report of various development projects pending since last year was submitted in the House of the Municipal Corporation on Thursday, highlighting the tasks that the civic body has not been able to accomplish despite approval.
While MC councillors are crying foul over work in their wards being incomplete, officials claim that the quantun of work approved last year was more than what could be executed. The issue, therefore, results in heated arguments during every House meet with no solutions being arrived at.
