An NRI woman has written to the Punjab CM to provide her security as she apprehends threat to her life owing to a property dispute case. A native of Patiala, Raminder Multani held a press conference on Saturday at the Chandigarh Press Club where she accused the police of showing a lackadaisical attitude towards her case.
A resident of Canada, Raminder said she and her mother-in-law Sheetal Kaur own several properties in Canada and also in Patiala valued in crores.
She alleged that documents relating to her property were forged by three of her relatives, who were business partners.
While she gave a complaint to the police, she started receiving threat calls from the persons she named in the complaint.
"I have written to the chief minister to provide security to my family as we as NRIs feel insecure, as the accused are roaming free," said Multani.
