After MH1,ETC and PTC,its now time for 9X Media group to launch a music channel dedicated to Punjabi music. Starting August 31,the group will foray into the regional music genre by launching 9X Tashan a hardcore Punjabi music channel targeted at free-spirited Punjabi viewers. Apart from being launched on television,the channel will also be streamed live online on the website www.9xtashan.in and on the mobile platform. Punit Pandey,senior vice-president and business head of 9X Media group says,Our commitment to offer super-hit music and humour to our viewers continues with 9X Tashan. The channel will offer a wholesome dose of entertainment to all Punjabi music aficionados. 9X Tashan will air the latest and the best of Punjabi music across all genres pop,romance,action and folk interspersed with rib-tickling short episodes of characters created in 3D animation. Sandip Bansal,managing director of 9X Tashan adds,Its a channel that combines traditional and modern sounds. 9X Tashan will also have a theme song titled Tashan Yaaran Da,which has been recorded by leading singers,including the Wadali Brothers,Jaspinder Narula,Inderjeet Nikku,Nachhatar Gill,Feroz Khan,Jaidev Kumar,Sardool,Sikander,Sherry Mann,Kamal Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. The music is composed by Jaidev Kumar and the lyrics are penned by Baljinder S Mahant,programming head of 9X Tashan.
