“Squash is not as prominent in the country as other sports, but we have received considerable support from all quarters ever since the inception of the Pune Open, which has helped it to grow considerably in the last 10 years,” said tournament director Rahul Agarwal.

“Hopefully the inclusion of squash as a discipline in the Commonwealth Games will give the game a tremendous boost and wider reach,” he added.
