  • Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal faced an awkward situation in the Assembly on Wednesday when his nephew, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, disagreed with him over his suggestion to send a delegation to Australia to study traffic management there. On a call attention notice moved by Congress MLA Ajit Inder Singh Mofar on increasing number of accidents in the state due to rash driving, the CM, who is the Leader of the House, suggested sending a delegation of officers and representatives from the ruling and opposition parties to study the Australian model of traffic management in that country. However, Manpreet objected to the suggestion, saying, “All data of traffic management in Australia or any other country can be procured on Internet without spending money on sending a delegation abroad.”
