With five wickets away from win, hosts Punjab did not lose their cool and bundled out Madhya Pradesh for a paltry total of 115 runs in their second innings to win by an innings and 174 runs to book a berth in the semi-final stage of the Cooch Behar U-19 Cricket Tournament played at PCA Stadium on Wednesday. After Madhya Pradesh resumed their second innings at 63 for 5 on Wednesday, the hosts restricted them to 115 in the second innings and won the match.

Mohit Mohindra was the star of the day for Punjab in the second innings as he claimed two wickets on Wednesday to complete his five-wicket haul in the second innings. Bowling a straight line,Mohindra did not give Madhya Pradesh much room and picked wickets at regular intervals. Ankit Sharma played a valiant knock of 36 runs but his effort went into vain as Punjab scored a comprehensive win in the match.

Anurag contributed ten runs, while Saransh Jain scored seven runs. Mohit Mahindra claimed five wickets for 38 runs, while Baltej Singh picked up three wickets for 27 runs. Kamal Passi bagged one wicket for 33 runs.
