Comparing former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with Nazi dictator Hitler, a well known Israeli Radio artiste has said that the leader is “an oppressor” who “deserves the gravest punishment under heaven”. Dudu Elharar, a radio presenter, made the comments in an interview given to a Peace Now activist posing as a documentary filmmaker to explore extreme right-wing movements in Israel. “I so wish he would suffer. (He's) just a scoundrel, a cheat and probably a thief,” Elharar said. The musician later confirmed that he was referring to Sharon’s actions in Gush Katif, during the Gaza pullout.
