Earlier in the day,Singh had called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Asked about it,he said that he had sought an appointment with the prime minister,but remained tightlipped about what transpired at the meeting.

It was a routine meeting, he said. The meeting came in the backdrop of Singhs remarks about bringing the prime minister within the Lokpals ambit.

He had,however,clarified later that it was for the joint drafting committee to take a decision.
