• Kalupur, Feb 19, 2006, 1.45 am: Blast rips through Platform No. 2 of Kalupur Railway Station in Ahmedabad. 25 people injured. Casualties low as no train near the platform at the time

Probe: City Detection of Crime Branch starts probe, concludes that the target was the Karnavati Express to Mumbai, which passes through at 1.45 pm. The attackers apparently set the timer for 12 hours later, at 1.45 am. Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad takes over case. On June 19, arrests two alleged Lashkar operatives, Mohammed Amir Shakil Ahmed Shaikh and Saiyed Aqif Jafruddin, both residents of Aurangabad. The two are also linked to the Aurangabad arms haul case, and “confess” involvement in the Kalupur conspiracy. Two other accused are absconding
