Raja Chaudhary exiled from Mumbai for a year

The Bhojpuri actor has been in and out of jail over the past few months for a slew of alleged offences.

Bhojpuri actor Raja Chaudhary,who has been in and out of jail over the past few months for a slew of alleged offences,has been served an externment notice ordering him stay out of city limits for a year,following which he left the metropolis.

“The 38-year-old actor has been served an externment notice and has been asked to leave the city,” Deputy Police Commissioner Mahesh Patil said.

Avinash Jadhav,senior inspector at Malad Police Station,said the actor was served the notice on Tuesday and was asked to leave the city in two days.

“Chaudhary has already left the city. If he does not obey the order and if found here,he would be immediately arrested under section 142 of Bombay Police Act,” Jadhav said.

The DCP has described the action as an act to reform the actor. “We hope this would reform him and deter him from committing any crimes,” added Patil,who signed the order.

“Choudhary has committed a number of offences over the years and we had issued a show cause notice seeking his explanation as to why he should not be externed,” the DCP said.

“His lawyer replied on his behalf but even after that the actor committed one more offence in Oshiwara police station jurisdiction,” he added.
