The move has ruffled a few feathers in the Rajasthan BJP since Devnani was chosen for the purpose over his senior Ghanshyam Tiwari (Education Minister) and District Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Kalulal Gujjar.
Raje has been upset with both Tiwari and Gujjar. While Tiwari is one of the popular dissidents, the latter took stand against Raje during the Gurjjar agitation. Not wanting the decision to get in favour of any of the two ministers, even as the departments had made it an ego issue, Raje chose the safe way out.
