Rajesh Khanna death: Anita Advani case vs Dimple, Akshay in court

While domestic violence will feature in the court, Anita has reportedly said Rajesh Khanna sexually assaulted her when she was 13 - he grabbed and kissed her, she says and that she stayed quiet about it as she was in 'awe' of the superstar.

The Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court will on Tuesday hear the plea of late actor Rajesh Khanna's family members for interim relief in a private complaint filed by Anita Advani, who claims to be his live-in partner.

Advani had moved court through a private complaint alleging domestic violence against Khanna's family members. She has accused Khanna's family of having evicted her from his bungalow on Carter Road in Bandra on November 8, thus attracting provisions of the Domestic Violence Act.

On November 9, Magistrate S S Deshpande had ordered Khanna's wife Dimple Kapadia, son-in-law and actor Akshay Kumar and daughters Twinkle Kumar and Rinke Khanna Saran to file their say on or before November 27.

In her application, Advani said under Section 19 of the Act, the magistrate may, on being satisfied that domestic violence has taken place, pass an order restraining the respondent from "dispossessing or in any other manner disturbing the possession of the aggrieved person from the shared household whether or not the respondent has a legal or equitable interest in the shared household".

Advani said, "I have proof for all that I have claimed. I am looking forward for the court hearing."

Maintenance case: Rajesh Khanna's family asked to appear

Mumbai, Nov 27: A metropolitan court today asked family members of Rajesh Khanna to appear before it in connection with a complaint filed against them by a woman claiming to be his live-in partner and seeking maintenance from the estate of the late actor.

Magistrate S S Deshpande, hearing the complaint filed by Anita Advani under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act, suggested both the sides to settle the matter amicably and said if they agree he would refer the case to a mediator the same day.
