A local court on Friday adjourned till Nov 18 the hearing on an application seeking cancellation of MNS chief Raj Thackeray's bail in connection with his alleged remarks against north Indians after the prosecution insisted on his presence in court.

The prosecution had filed a plea last month seeking cancellation of Raj's bail which the court had granted in February this year.

Public Prosecutor Rohini Salian told the Vikhroli court that Raj's presence was required during the hearing after which the metropolitan magistrate adjourned the hearing for 10 days.

Someone Please Kill Raj ThackerayBy: AngryMaharashtrian | 13-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward Could some one let us know when will Raj Thackeray be actually 'Killed' and 'Buried' forever. Our country is daunted with plenty of insurmountable challenges : Poverty, Education, Terrorism, Infiltration, Border disputes, AIDS, Political parties looking to cash in on communal divide, trade deficit, oil pool deficit, receding industrial production
lET THERE BE JUSTICE IN THE CASE THAN INJUSTICEBy: Junjun Miya Subhanmiya | 08-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward There was nojustification for the Court to adjourned the hearing of the Prosecution's application for cancellaton of RAJ thakerey's bail as he was being represented well by his battery of famous Advocate. This is one more instance of the Court dancing to the tune of the Accused. It is high timme the Apex Court transfers all cases against RAJ thakeray to the couts outside Maharashtra.
Book Raj Thakery under NSABy: Jamsheed Basha | 08-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward Raj Thakery is dangerous to the country and he should be put behind bars for ever. Cancel his bail and see that he does not come out of the prison. He has launched the tirade against the north Indians as if Maharashtra is an independent country. His hate campaign has naturally undermine the country's unity in diversity. He is fighting for a political space in Maharastra politics as he is still under the shadow of his Uncle and Mentor Bal Thakery, who thrived and grew on the sons of the soil policy. After having earned name and fame, political space too, he send his much talked about sons of the soil packing for good. The same thing will happen with this political novice also. But they way he conducted himself against the hapless youth from Bihar and other places during railway board exam in Mumbai was highly reprehensible. The poor guys were seen running for their lives similar to the one we saw against the vendors while the police looked the other way. It is a national shame.
Politicians and judiciaryBy: Niranjan | 08-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward Again politics helps a person who should be in jail. It is due to such political intereference in judicial system that politicians are bold enough to subvert the law and do as they please, as they know that it will take years if not decades to bring anything out of a lawsuit. Many cases against the politicians are stuck in courts because of political intereference. Until we can make judiciary totalyy independent of politicians, our politics will be in the hands of such people with no morals and a very narrow agenda, with least regard for the country or even the state.
