Yash Raj Films’ Rocket Singh-Salesman Of The Year rolled on May 2 with lead actor Ranbir Kapoor playing a Sikh, complete with turban and beard. Ranbir, who started growing his beard about three weeks before the shoot, looks princely in his new avatar.
The young Kapoor is half-Sikh as his mother Neetu Kapoor is from a Sikh family. The film also marks the coming together of Chak De! India director-writer combination of Shimit Amin and Jaideep Sahni in this comedy.
The film which is presently being shot in Thane, Mumbai, is scheduled for a December 2009 release.
