  • When it is a high profile battle and at stake is not only the prestige of two major political families of Punjab, but also of their respective parties, even royals hit the dusty streets.

Today, Raninder Singh visited a few villages sought votes, highlighting the "achievements" of the Congress and "demerits" of the SAD-BJP combine in Punjab.

"Badals are scattered everywhere. All their family members are canvassing for Harsimrat. On the other side, I have not roped in any of my family members. You all are my family members," he told villagers at a rally, which was also attended by Talwandi Sabo MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu.

His cavalcade made a halt at former transport minister Avtar Singh Gatwali's house. "I am so tired," said Raninder, while settling down on a sofa. After a glass of cold coffee and some conversation, he left for the next village, one of the 20 he had to cover today.
