Pratik Mulay won the 33 rd edition of the Every Sunday Rapid Chess Championship,organised by the Pune District Chess Association and Global Mind Sports Foundation,for the first time.
33 players took part in the tournament of which 12 were rated and 17 unrated. The chief arbiter for the tourney was Rajendra Shidore. Mulay obtained a total of 6 points to edge out his nearest rival,Kapil Lohana by a margin of .5 points to win the title.
Results:Pratik Mulay(6) beat Pushkaraj Bedekar(5),Shailesh Jaiswar(5) lost to Kapil Lohana(5.5),Padmanand Menon(5) beat Kiran Panditrao(4.5),Srinath Krishnamoorthy(5) beat Sachin Salam(4) Siddhant Gaikwad(5) beat Abhimanyu Puranik(4) Shakti Prasad(4) lost to Abhishek Kelkar(4.5)
