  • Double trap shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, India’s only medallist at the Athens Olympics, has a new coach in former trap shooter Josh Lakatos, who won silver in Atlanta.

Before Athens Rathore had been training with Australian Mark Russell whenever the former got an opportunity to go to Australia. But, for the most part, his Olympics training before Athens was under Italian Luca Marini.

After he had a string of lows in the lead up to the Beijing Games, Rathore went to Lakatos.

Rathore told the The Indian Express, that his “sessions with Lakatos had been fruitful.” He added: “I am looking forward to peaking before Beijing.”
