Bharatiya Janshakti Party chief Uma Bharti on Tuesday said she was ready to take responsibility for the demolition of the disputed Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Reacting to the submission of the Liberhan Commission report, Bharti told reporters at her residence here that “like a good commander, I am ready to own the responsibility of the Babri Masjid’s demolition and have no problem even if I will be hanged on the issue”. “The Liberhan report is an attempt to appease Muslim community,” the former MP chief minister said. “The UPA led by the Congress was unable to find a single person responsible for the massacre of 20,000 Sikhs after the death of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi,” she alleged.
