Realtor murder: Police may quiz victim’s ‘girlfriend’

The human angle seems to be weighing heavy on the investigations into the alleged murder of a young realtor from Panchkula,Suresh Kumar. The recovery of what is so far believed as charred remains of Kumar on the rear seat of his completely burnt Maruti Swift near Baddi two days before the wedding of a girl with whom he was reported to be in love despite being engaged to another girl,and Kumar’s visit to Baddi,in the vicinity of which his ‘lover’ lived,a day before the gruesome incident have made investigators believe that Kumar’s ‘love’ affair was the reason behind his ‘cruel’ end. With no other reason or motive coming to the fore in the probe conducted so far,the investigators are believed to have ‘ample’ clues of Kumar’s ‘close relationship’ with one of his distant relatives but police officers are still shying away from questioning the girl,who reportedly got married two days ago.

“Except her,nobody else seems to be aware of the circumstances and motive behind the crime but we are waiting for the newly wed to settle down first,” confided a senior officer.

Since Kumar’s family was today away at Hardwar for immersing his mortal remains,the police were expecting to get their response tomorrow. The various clues found so far have clearly suggested that Kumar was in “constant and close” touch with his ‘lover’ but the complete call and text message details of one of his two mobile phones were still not yet retrieved from the cellular service provider.

“We are still awaiting details of his conversations and messages exchanged after 6 pm on the fateful day,which the cellular company has now assured us till tomorrow,” revealed an investigator. Two separate police parties were today dispatched to the native and in-laws’ place of Kumar’s ‘lover’ to gather more vital clues and details on the “relationship turning fatal”. “We have further narrowed down and corroborated our investigations conducted so far and hope to crack the case very soon,” said SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar.
