Companies offering marketing, general management and finance jobs, came looking for candidates on the second day of summer placement at the IIM-A. An IIM-A press release said Hindustan Unilever and Procter & Gamble were the most preferred employers of students looking at a career in marketing. The institute, however, did not provide any information on whether the companies recruited anyone.

Tata Administrative Service (TAS) and The Aditya Birla Group, both offered general management roles to the students and recruited 15 of them.

“The students will join various group companies across India and abroad for a two-month period,” said the press statement. Feedback Ventures and Fortress Financial Services — firms specialising in Infrastructure — recruited for the first time at IIM-A this year.

Some other companies that returned to IIM-A this year are Citibank, Frost & Sullivan, Edelweiss and Anand Rathi.
