Reliance Communications looks West, buys Yipes of US

    Shares of Reliance Communications jumped 4.09 per cent on the BSE on Monday after the company signed the agreement to acquire Yipes Communications. The scrip of the Anil Ambani group company touched an intra-day high of Rs 577.40 before closing at Rs 574.05. Over 29.59 lakh shares were traded on the BSE. The acquisition of Yipes would scale up Reliance Communications’ optic fibre network and give a footprint in the American market.
