Wilson had received numerous awards. Prominent among them are the Beresford Hope Award received in 1984 from the St Augustine’s Foundation, England; the Soka University Award of Highest Honour in 1992 in Tokyo; the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for contribution to education in 1999, and the Distinguished Educationist Award in 2001.
