Residents of Rajiv Gandhi Colony on Monday staged a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner's office regarding insanitary conditions prevailing in the area. They also highlighted that in a large part of the area water supply had been disrupted for the past three days.

Demanding that dustbins should be placed in different locations, the residents complained of sewer overflow in the lanes. They said that pucca streets needed to be made.

They demanded that the height of high-tension wires should be increased in order to avoid accidents in future.

They complained that the staff sitting on duty in their area were not making voter I-cards properly. DC Rahul Tiwari accepted their memorandum and assured them of early action.
