Rice basmati prices weakened by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today.

Rice basmati prices weakened by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today due to sluggish demand against increased supplies from producing belts.

However,other grains traded in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels,traders said.

In the national capital,rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,900-6,000 and Rs 5,200-5,900 per quintal,respectively.

Court rejects NIA plea for polygraph test on men accused of harbouring Pahalgam attackers

A court in Jammu has rejected the NIA's plea to conduct a polygraph test on two men arrested for the Pahalgam terror attack. The court cited the right against self-incrimination and the need for reliability and voluntariness of statements as reasons for the rejection. The accused declined their consent for the test after the court explained the procedure in Urdu.
