A defining moment has arrived for the amicable settlement of the Kashmir issue, said former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, adding that it’s the right time to add substance to the peace process through substantial confidence building measures.
In his deliberations with several leaders in Delhi, including former prime ministers I K Gujral and V P Singh, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Mufti reiterated that the fast-changing equations in and around Jammu and Kashmir offer the country’s leadership a great opportunity to push forward the peace process.
