  • “We are a small party with 9 MLAs and not a part of the Government. The Congress will not be playing any active role in the formation of the next Government,” said Ajay Maken, the AICC in-charge of the state. Asked if Soren should resign after his loss, he said, “It is a constitutional matter. We have to consult constitutional experts. This is not only loss of the UPA, but more substantially of the NDA as the seat was held by the JD(U).” The issue is likely to be resolved by the UPA leadership on Friday when Soren and Koda reach here to hold talks.
