Nasaruddin Shaikh (22) was stabbed with a knife at 4 am Sunday after a collision between two bikes. He is said to be critical at GT Hospital.
Shaikh and friend Darshan Vaidya (19) were riding in Marine Drive with others.
Police said the two hit a speeding motorcycle near Hindu Gymkhana. A verbal duel that ensued soon intensified and Shaikh was stabbed by a rider of the other bike.
Police said the accused were riding a red Pulsar. They have formed a dedicated investigation team and prepared sketches of the accused, who have been booked for attempted murder.
