Roadies winner lands in road trouble,arrested

Big Boss and Roadies 5.0 winner Ashutosh Kaushik got himself into some real-life road trouble on Friday night,when he was detained for riding his bike in an inebriated state. On noticing that he was not wearing his helmet,the traffic police flagged Ashutosh a little after midnight when he was on his way back to his Andheri (West) residence. According to the traffic police,Ashutosh began arguing with them and initially refused to show his licence or give a breath analyser test. However,he finally agreed and the officers found out that he was not only under the influence of alcohol,but was also not carrying his licence. He was then taken to the Andheri police station,where he was charged with riding without a license or a helmet and in an inebriated state. He was also charged for disobeying an officer. Ashutosh was later let go after being charged a fine of Rs 3,000. He is to be produced in court on Monday and his Hero Honda Karizma has been impounded.

Ashutosh caused a minor fracas at the Andheri police station as the media got wind of his arrest and was waiting for him outside. He got into a minor scuffle with some constables as they tried to remove the handkerchief he was using to try and cover his face. However,the officials of the Andheri police deny any such problems. “Ashutosh complied with the police officials and we had no problems with him. Had he not complied,we would have charged him further,” said Senior Police Inspector S Deshmukh of the Andheri police station.  

“Ashutosh was detained at JB Nagar on the Andheri-Kurla Road at Andheri (East). He has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act and has been fined,” said Police Inspector N B Patil of the Andheri Airport traffic police.
