Given the promising response to her trunk show held in the city a couple of months back,well-known jewellery designer Annu Chadha from Amritsar has set up her jewellery studio at Taj Chandigarh. “This will be my second outlet after Amritsar,” mentioned a visibly pleased Chadha,whose label is called ‘Jewels by Aannuu’. The boutique store showcases her current spring-summer collection of diamond jewellery. “I love colour and have used a range of precious stones like sapphires,emeralds,rubies,and South Sea pearls teamed with diamonds to design my collection,” explained the jewellery designer,who specialises in Polki and diamonds. “I am not just focussing on bridal wear,but also on formal jewellery lines that are equally classic,” she pointed out. There are huge cocktail rings,chandelier earrings with matching bracelets and cuffs,besides wedding sets to choose from. “We have also introduced a new type of diamond setting called the club setting,which gives the impressions of huge solitaires but are actually a cluster of diamonds,” said Chadha.

Having exhibited her work in Dubai,London,Delhi and Bangalore,a store in Chandigarh,she admits,was always in the offing. “There’s a growing demand for designer jewellery here as fashionistas are looking for offbeat stuff,” she added.
