Rockstar team back in February

Ranbir Kapoor has just completed shooting a song called Sadda haq for Imtiaz Ali's film,tentatively titled Rockstar.

Ranbir Kapoor has just completed shooting a song called Sadda haq for Imtiaz Ali’s film,tentatively titled Rockstar. This was shot in Delhi,and now the team will head for Mcleodganj,a small hill-station in Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. This quaint town is home to the Dalai Lama and has several famous monasteries. Part of the film will be shot here.

According to the director,there is still a lot of shooting to be completed before the the team returns to Mumbai in February.

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to do a comedy! The film may be titled A For Apple B For Ball C For Cat and will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The project will be directed by a new director and the hunt for a girl to star opposite King Khan is on. This is besides the film he is producing with Karan that introduces three newcomers including David Dhawan’s son,Varun and Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Aaliya. Presently,however,Shah Rukh is busy with his home production Ra.One. He will start shooting for the last portion of the film which comprises two songs. These will be shot from December 13 at a set constructed at a Mumbai studio,and will be picturised on Kareena Kapoor,who plays his wife in the film and him. International star Akon has lent his voice to these songs. Reportedly,SRK is also trying to get the international group Prodigy to give the background score for the film. But this will only be confirmed once the paperwork is done. Shah Rukh is also doing Farhan Akhtars Don 2 for which he has just completed a marathon schedule in Berlin.

Hrithik to do Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet
There is a strong buzz that Hrithik Roshan might be doing Danny Boyles Bombay Velvet. Boyle is producing the film while Anurag Kashyap is directing it. The casting has been in the news for quite a while now as there were talks of Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan doing the film. The action thriller is based on the series of real- life incidents that happened in Mumbai in the 1940s. The director is in talks with Hrithik and if everything works out,the actor will be part of the film. The other actors who are said to be part of the cast are John Abraham and Kay Kay Menon. Hrithik is also doing a dance show for Star Plus,the format for which is being worked out.

Tanuja Chandra to make Raakh
Tanuja Chandra is all set to start her next film titled Raakh. Raima Sen and Rajeev Khandelwal will play the leads. The writer-director,who made her debut with the television series Zameen Aasmaan,went on to direct several films including Dushman,Film Star,Sangharsh and Hope And A Little Sugar. This film is based in a small town and will be shot in Jhansi and Bhopal.

At centre of hijab row, student decides to pull out of Kochi school

Amid the controversy over a student not being allowed to wear a hijab at a school in Kochi, the student has decided to pull out of the school. Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty, who had previously called on the school to respect the student’s right to wear the hijab, said on Friday that the school was answerable to the government regarding the circumstances surrounding the girl’s decision.
