R N Verma, General Manager, Eastern Railway, has said more Civil Defence volunteers are required as they are very efficient in providing first-aid. Verma said that Eastern Railway will adopt a new security plan with special attention to Sealdah and Howrah stations.
General Manager, S E Railway, A K Jain, has also stressed the need for modernisation and better training facilities for the forces so that security personnel can face new challenges in an effective manner.
