RPI leader T M Kamble dies

The Republican Party of India (Democratic) leader T M Kamble died following a heart attack at a hospital in Latur on Saturday.

The Republican Party of India (Democratic) leader T M Kamble died following a heart attack at a hospital in Latur on Saturday.

A former member of state legislative council,Kamble had championed the cause of Dalits’ welfare. In the past,he was associated with the Dalit Panther and closely worked with the RPI. However,following differences,he formed a separate group under the banner of RPI (D). Over the past few years,he kept a low profile

and stepped away from active politics.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Manikrao Thakre in his condolence message said,“It is a setback to the state. Kamble always worked for the rights of Dalits.”
