RSS to sue Digvijay Singh for pinning shoe attack on Sangh

A furious RSS says it will not tolerate such open vilification by the Congress.

Having “verified” that the man who brandished a shoe at Congress spokesman Janardhan Dwivedi at a press conference on Monday is not in any way connected to the RSS,the organisation has decided to move court against Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh.

“The court will be moved either today or latest by tomorrow by our Rajashthan unit,” a senior RSS leader told ‘The Indian Express’.

“We have verified the man’s antecedents. He is not remotely involved with the RSS. In fact,he has worked with institutions that belong to people owing allegiance to the Congress. An institution (Rajasthan Public School) where he has taught English belongs to a man whose wife (Sharda) is a local Congress councillor. The Vidya Bharati school where he also taught is not our institution. And the paper for which he reported, too, has nothing to do with us. He wasn’t even a swayamsevak as a child,” the leader said.

Digvijay Singh, who had allegedly punched the man along with journalists at the press conference, had rushed to the press to claim that the man belonged to the RSS.

The RSS is unhappy not just with Digvijay, but with Sushma Swaraj too for her ‘dance performance’ at BJP’s Rajghat dharna. “Rajghat is a sacred place. One is not supposed to dance to a film song there. Dancing is in temples too,but to bhajans,” sources in the RSS said.
